Inspire Me Monday #289

Happy Monday, and happy first day of school if your kiddos are heading back today like mine are!  We are 100% virtual, so there is no doubt that things will look different, but we are definitely in need of some sort of routine around here!  If you are a teacher, a big thanks goes out to you for making this year happen as normal as possible for our kids!  I know there is so much work going on behind the scenes to get this year going!

Dining Room Refresh with Birch Lane

With as much time as we have been spending at home the past few months, making sure your home is a beautiful space that you enjoy is so important!  I have been tackling projects around our house both big and small while we have been home, and it has felt so nice to have freshly updated spaces to hang out in. There is just something so wonderful about loving the spaces you are in!

One of the most important parts of your day is gathering around the table with your family to share about your day, so you want to make sure you have a dining room that is comfortable and beautiful to draw your family together.  I am so excited to be partnering with Birch Lane to design a farmhouse dining room to bring you some ideas to refresh your own space, and help make that time with your family a peaceful haven from the chaos in the world right now.

Below are some of my favorite items that Birch Lane offers.  I love sticking with neutrals for the big elements of a room and accenting with pops of color in the accessories based on the seasons.  These items below are timeless and will work with bright Spring florals all the way to bold and deep colors of Fall and of course, the most important, the reds and greens for Christmas!!

Like I said, I kept very neutral when designing this room, but made sure to add lots of texture and wood tones to make sure the room still kept a warm, homey feeling.

The simple detail of the nail heads on the chairs adds so much character!

I offered two different chandelier options.  I am so in love with the wooden beads of the Brody Empire Chandelier, but also love the elegant look of the Paulina Candle Style Chandelier.  You can't go wrong with either one!

My favorite way to add warmth to a home is with candles!  This set is absolutely gorgeous!!  These look amazing on their own, but would also be perfect for adding seasonal greenery around to create the perfect centerpiece for your table.

The details of the table are what bring a room all together!  I love the pop of color and glam from this table runner, and the texture of these napkin rings is beautiful.  The Milford dining set is so versatile and would be great for every day use or your elegant holiday dinners.

There are so many amazing options from Birch Lane!  The items I featured are just the beginning; the possibilities for your room are endless!  I hope this brings you some inspiration for creating a beautiful space for your house; a place that you truly love and feel at home in!

S'mores Charcuterie Board

Looking for an easy but fun treat?  This spin on S'mores was a huge hit at our house last night, and the best part was that it only took me about 5 minutes to put together!

I layered Hershey's chocolate on the bottom of a mini cast iron skillet and topped it with the marshmallows and popped it under the broiler for just a couple of minutes.  I added pretzel sticks to our board and they were so good dipped into the chocolate and marshmallows!

If you want to follow along with more of our every day happenings, be sure to follow along on Instagram!  Be sure to tag me if you give this s'mores board a try!
